The Way Back

When hope feels far away,
the way back begins with one small step
Reflection
It is easy—and perhaps natural—to believe that because we feel discouraged today, we will always feel this way.
But feelings change. Circumstances change. Our perspective changes. Our brains continually adapt and form new pathways throughout life.
This short poem about mental health reminds us that emotional healing is often gradual. Hope returns one step at a time through patience, simple faith, kindness, meaningful routines, and one small act of courage after another.
You don't have to complete the entire journey today. You only have to take the next step.
Question for You
What thought, belief, activity, or act of kindness helps you move forward—even in difficult times?
Affirmation
I don’t need to solve my whole life today. Instead, I can take one small step forward.
