A House Lit from Within
Updated: Oct 12

What can we do to prevent the world’s darkness from entering our home?
Reflections
A House Lit from Within is a short poem about finding happiness in an unsettling world.
We cannot keep all darkness outside. But we can cultivate the light within—by caring for those we love, offering hospitality to those who enter, and showing gentleness toward ourselves.
A home draws its warmth not only from walls and windows, but from the kindness and memories it holds. In this way, a house becomes more than shelter. It becomes a place where happiness can take root.
Question for you
In what ways could you improve your own little slice of the world?
Affirmation
There will always be another opportunity to bring more light, kindness, and peace to the part of the world I touch.
