Sometimes you do everything you can—and it still doesn’t work
Reflections
Accept It All is a short poem about acceptance. It deals with regret, loss, and learning to keep going after disappointment.
The farm setting gives the poem a sense of steadiness. Seasons change, storms come, crops fail, and mistakes happen—but life still asks us to rise, work, and continue. The speaker is not suggesting life is easy. He chooses inner peace by accepting what cannot be changed.
The final image of the stalk that “did not break” gives the poem a sense of strength. It links acceptance with resilience. In the end, the poem suggests that the best we can do is let go of what doesn’t serve us—and make space for another dream.
Question for you
When something you worked hard on doesn’t turn out the way you hoped, what helps you let it go—and begin again?
Affirmation
I give my best effort and I accept what follows. I let go of what didn’t work and make space for another dream.
