My Mind Settled Down

Autumn trees reflected in a calm misty pond illustrating inner peace and a settled mind.

I don't always appreciate sanity when I have it. I notice it most when it's gone.

Reflections

My Mind Settled Down is a short poem about inner peace.

Many times my mind refuses to cooperate. Thoughts race from one worry to another. Old regrets return. New concerns appear. Even when life is relatively peaceful, my inner world can feel unsettled.

I love the moments when my mind settles.

The noise grows quieter. My mind becomes less argumentative. For a little while, I inhabit the present moment.

A settled mind does not mean a perfect life. Problems still exist. But clarity replaces confusion, and gratitude replaces restlessness.

Those moments are precious. They remind me that peace does not always have to be forced. Sometimes it arrives on its own.

Sanity is a gift.

Question for you

What helps your mind settle down?

Affirmation

My mind is settling down. I welcome clarity, kindness, and peace.
